Problem extracting .sit files in Basilisk II

I've installed the Stuffit Expander 5.5 on OS version 7.5.5 in Basilisk II for Windows, but any time I try to expand any archives from the game downloads on the Macintosh Garden, it only produces a single file that nothing can be done with. (Extracting for example Prince of Persia, I only get a file called "Persia(BW)". For Prince of Persia 2 it's a subfolder "data" with the file "Birdhead.rscr" in it.)

What do I do wrong?

Can you try the image TataMisia made, for inflating?

The included Stuffit Expander is working for me.
Be sure to move compressed files to the BII HDD and not to the desktop.
If it still wont work, someone might make some DiskCopy images carrying the wanted files.

Without more info I am guessing that you are trying to extract these archives on a shared drive (the drive you can share between the host PC and your BII emulator).

If so, you need to move any ".sit" file into the emulator's hard drive before extracting. Never work with any file on the shared "host/emu" drive. This drive is for moving files between the 2 systems only.

Thanks for the replies.

I tried booting that hard disk image linked above, but the expander there just gives the same results. I've never used a shared drive, always transferred files with HFVExplorer, so that can't be it, either.

Am I doing something wrong with the program? I've tried File -> Expand, then selecting the file, and also drag&dropping the file onto the Stuffit Expander icon, both with the same result.

@derb: try using the Stuffit Expander thats found in this archive, in your regular Basilisk II setup. Its a Zipped .HFV file that you can mount it as an external drive in Basilisk II before installing Stuffit Expander properly. This file has been made especially made for Windows (Basilisk II) users in mind. HTH.

That's the file I used originally.

Hmmm... That software in the .hfv works for me. Including extracting both the Prince of Persia vers. 1 & 2 files from here, properly. I can't advise further, sorry.

Does this problem occur with all ".sit" files DL'd from here, or only P-of-P?
