Looking for mTropolis

Before Flash really took off and Director was king, there was a competitor to Macromedia's interactive software authoring tools called mFactory, and they had a product called mTropolis. It was acquired by Quark and then killed off in classic 90's-computer-software-company-makes-a-bad-decision fashion. By now it's definitely abandonware. Does anyone know where I might find it?

Only got demos and samplers, of v1 and v2. They're enormous, 37MB (v1) 120MB (v2)

Check out oTakhi Platform. http://www.otakhi.com .

This is mTropolis for the web. And in many ways it surpasses mTropolis, for instance, 3D game authoring and peer-to-peer networking.

…but nowhere something running in OS 9 or older, mr oTakhi? An odeur of tinned ham launches…

@Rezmason
I've uploaded what appears to be the complete version of
mTropolis v1.1.2 and assorted files to mediafire.
Perhaps (in exchange) you could make a page for it here @ mg ?
Enjoy

I had completely forgotten about asking this question, and found it again by Googling "mtropolis". This is the second time such a thing has happened to me! What are the odds?

Anyway, I'll try the mTropolis file, and if it works I'll see what I can do about an MG page for it. Thank you!

Hi,

I've just come upon your post whilst I was getting nostalgic about mTropolis and doing through my (now defunct Cd's). I have Version 2.0 of MTropolis on CD with serial number etc. If you still are looking I could probably copy it and post it to you. I'm loathe to part with the original disc for purely sentimental reasons.

All the best,
