Looking for a strange game

Don't know if anyone else would've heard of this, very very weird game I used to have on one of the old macworld CD's.

The only description I can give is the game had a black background, a platform at the bottom and some man who ran to the right of the screen. It would sidescroll as you ran to the right and there would be platforms. If I recall, the platforms were green or some similar colour and the man wore a weird space suit, it was a 2D man, kind of like step on it. This is a horrible description but does it ring any bells?

Another description from my sis who is also looking for the same game:
it was a game set in space, and you were a spaceman wearing a red suit (with a bike helmet, by the looks of it.)
if you activated player 2, a blue space man would appear.
you'd play the platform starting at the left, and moving to the right. The platform was set on 'mars' or something and it all looked pretty red.
It had a black bacground.
you had a gun, and it was rather slow if I can remember.
But when you died and you spawned at the start
it made a shrill buzz-ping noise
that sounded quite distinctive and quite funny.
the game was really. really. loud.

Did the game have a soundtrack from one of the Star Trek movies during the levels?
The game could be "Bob".

Here: Bob

YES! That's the one!! Also while I'm at it, there's another game I used to have that I'm looking for as well, it was a 3D game kind of like myst and at some point in the game there was a colour code you had to remember to put into some computer. If I recall the game was by lucas arts, I think, can't remember.

That's not very much info. Does the game have the same first-person(Ego) perspective that Myst has? Does the process of moving around resemble a slide-show? I don't think LA ever made a game in the vein of Myst.
If there was a computer, was the theme modern or science-fiction?

Yes, it was some sort of science fiction/set in the future. there is a teleport somewhere that teleports you to a desert with a water sphere, if you were dehydrated you'd die. my memory is very hazy. it does have the same first person perspective as myst and from the tip of my head the movement does resemble a slideshow

Do you remember when abouts you played it? And was it a demo or a full version game?

It certainly wasn't a LucasArts game, they never released a Myst clone.

Another one, though this is in a forest scene. Futuristic though:

Hmm, it might be welcome to the future, the scenery looks quite familiar. if only megaupload worked then I'd be able to check. And yes, it was a demo

Maybe it was Crystal Key 1/2, it seems they are located in deserts.

Here's the title and theme music for WTTF, see if it rings any bells.

Bumping, I think I recall 'MacPlay' being on the start-up screen

Was it "The Journeyman Project" (the original from around 1995 or so)?

[Edit] The original on Mac was version 1.0 (1992) See this Wikipedia entry. If the game you're looking for isn't this, it still looks like a good/rare one to have archived here.

I used to have the journeyman project, unfortunately it's not that.
Another part of the game came into my mind today, there's a part with this bald guy standing infront of a portal with some action music playing, you had to shoot him to get through the portal otherwise you'd die.

I realize I'm a little bit late to respond but that sounds an awful lot like the freeware title Mystery Island 2 (MobyGames entry with a full description and more screenshots). I believe the scene you're describing is near the end.
