Localized versions of games and applications

Hi all,

What is the garden's policy concerning localized versions of its content ?
Just asking because I'm french and as such, most of the software I own are in french.

For example (and just from my memory, the list can certainly be extended) I've got french versions of these :

  • Myth
  • Myth II
  • Starcraft
  • Imperialism
  • FutureCop LAPD
  • Alone In The Dark 1/2/3
  • Claris/Apple Works 3/4/5/6
  • Virtual PC 3/4
  • ...

Yes, as soon as I can get my hands on them (I have to search for them on a crate somewhere in my parent's house. Hopefully they kepped old the stuff I left there a decade ago Tongue)
Anyway, I'm not sure of the exact version of the software. I mean, maybe it's not xxx v3.0 but xxx v3.y (that's why I didn't put in precise version number in my list).

Concerning upload location : do I put them in the same page as the english versions, or do I create a new page for them ? In my opinion, we should gather all localized versions of a same software on the same page, but I need your advice of you all.

I second for collecting versions of one title on one page. Be numerical or linguistical [sp?].

I find it suitable for small applications, to have a page containing all versions in all languages, but for bigger applications or games I think it's better to have a page for each major version, then containing each locale.

Future Cop LAPD can't be uploaded, it's an EA game, and we recently got in trouble regarding EA games.

Finally, I started to search for my french softwares and here is the result :
    - Alone In The Dark 1 / 2 / 3 : uploaded
    - Impérialism : uploaded
    - Myth 1 / 2 : found the CDs ... but forgot them Smile ! Will upload them next time
    - Future Cop LAPD : found the CD, but will not upload it thanks to EA
    - VPC 3 / 4 : only found installed versions, but I still have a chance to find the CDs
    - ClarisWorks 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 : only found installed versions ... disks may have been dumped
    - Starcraft : only found the CD case ... seems to be lost

While searching for those, I found some other softwares, and will upload them soon :
    - French File Force
    - French restore CDs for Performa 5200/6200 and PowerMacintosh 7200/7500/7600/8200/8500/9500
    - French Microsoft Office v4.2.1
    - French / English Amapi v5.0
    - French File Maker Pro v3.0
    - Connectix's QuickCam's driver v2.1.2
    - Metrowerks CodeWarrior "Discover programming edition"
    - LSBasic
    - Chipmunk Basic
    - BrainHex
    - TreePro v4.0
    - DiskTools II
    - Pixels 3D v3.6.3 (I have already uploaded v2.1.4, but they both need a crack to be unlocked, since the copy protection rely on some number computed on a per computer basis)

I'm sure the Myth II install discs (I bought it twice - long story) were multi-language - English, French and German. But I can check when my daughter wakes up.

@bertyboy: I bought it twice too, but never pointed out it was a multi-language game. I'll check when I can.

@sheepmyshaver123: for sure Smile ! As stated in my post, I will upload those very soon...
