eBay buys

Just before I go and spend money I don't have, is anyone here (UK-based) currently bidding on the "Apple Mac G4 Server" on ebay UK ? It would be stupid for two (or more) of us to bid against each other.

Don't need a link, you'll know if you're bidding on it.

Fingers crossed. I didn't get the two Twentieth Anniversary Macs.

I managed to get "The Daedalus Encounter" yesterday, for £1.25.

Still looking for an old PMG4 / Cube / Mini. Unfortunately, the postage kills the chance of a good deal.

Picked up a stack of old Mac games - all on here unfortunately, but I'll check to make sure we have the full version - for £0.99 on eBay this week.

And finally got a G4 Cube in pristine condition, with yet another ADC monitor - now have 4 ADC displays when all I want is one top quality Apple DVI or VGA. It came with a stack of orignal software, speakers, KB, mouse, orignal discs, original box (display and cube), every version of Mac OS X from 10.0 to 10.4 on CD - yes 10.4 did come on 4 CDs if you wrote to Apple exchanging your original 10.4 DVD + £25, I already had the 10.4 Server on CD.

Now all I need to find is a high-end G5 for less than I paid for the Cube ....

Anyone else had any recent successes ??

Won "Corruption" on floppy for £0.99. This is on the Most Wanted list.

Won a PMG5 dual 2.5GHz too, cost a bit more.

Anyone won anything good recently ?? (I can't believe that you're ALL freeloaders).

Along the same lines as HughMungus, I picked up some goodies at Salvation Army. For my US$10.44 I ended up with the following:

Backyard Baseball
Backyard Football
Backyard Soccer
Myst
Star Wars DroidWorks
C.H.A.O.S.

On eBay I picked up Backyard Basketball for $3.50 shipped. Had I waited for the Salvation Army trip, I could have picked it up for it up for $2.00. Oh well.

Other eBay buy was Quark 4.11 for $5.00 shipped. Included everything but the huge manual. I've used that program for so many years that I don't think I'd need it though.

When I get my Mac situation more together, I'll start throwing some of this stuff up on the site.

Recently, I got the CD 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch: Brat Attack' (german version, though), CD imprint tells it is for Mac (only), but the html readme file included on the CD tells the game's Windows system requirements, too.
Why? Simply, because it includes a fully working PC version, too (Hybrid CD for both PC + Mac).

Well, this time I got my hands on two exiting old mac games for 1,- Euro plus shipping each. Amerzone is a Point & Click Adventure Game for the OS 9 and early OS X generation of Macintosh computers. (not yet sure if it qualifies as abandonware) and the second game is "The Berlin Connection". The vendor praised it as a "documentation thriller" and from the screenshots I found it looks like this is another Full-Motion-Video "gem". I just love these. Runs on System 7.1 and higher - I'll check if it qualifies for an upload here Smile
