Best Games on Macintosh Garden?

I love Mac Garden, but sometimes it seems like most of the games are total garbage (read: Sturgeon's Law): terrible System 6 games! Crippled shareware! Corrupted games! Games without download mirrors! Games that were removed due to "copyright infringement"! It's appalling!

The only things I really know what to search for is similar titles or try to play games I remember playing as a kid (often found on another computer, or a demo). Even those are pretty rare, and some don't yield any Google results ("Toad Panic 3D", a game which I played back in 1999, will link you back to the forums).

Is there a "Best of..." list or something that we could put up?

EDIT: I do have a Macintosh Bible Guide to Games, which is pretty good at identifying games around the 1995-1996 range, and I do believe I've found some from that era.

That's one way to look at it. The other way to look at it is that there's some real gems here, games that make a little "sifting through" all worth it.

Here's a list of 729 reviewed Mac games. Can't promise they're all on the site, but most before 2002 will be:

I'm sure that there was also a MacWorld Top 100 Mac games of All Time, and I have the like somewhere on one of my Macs, but the IMG reviews top 100 (of 729) is almost identical.

There's also a few other large Mac game databases on the web, nearly all have reviews, but the user ratings are extemely few and far between. Google for "gamedb" and "allgame". IMG was always the top dog site for Mac gamers at the time.

This site has plenty of great games. Problem is, it takes hours to browse through it all because there's so much stuff.

Finding out what the BEST games on the site is part of what this forum is for. If you want to know what games to play, just look around here and see what people are talking about. Or even just make a new topic to ask for some high-lights.
